Nepal flies two stacked pennants ending in a point. A moon of eight rays sits above a sun of twelve. The pairing is a measure of time. As long as the sun and moon hold their places in the sky, the country beneath them holds too. It is a large claim for a small country to make. Nepal has never been ruled by a foreign power.
